Terrace View Retirement Village is a privately owned facility located on Caters Terrace, Tinwald, Ashburton.
Terrace View Retirement Village consists of a multiple level lifestyle and studio apartment complex and purpose built care hospital including sluice rooms, shower rooms, along with a wellness clinic, hairdressing salon’s, commercial kitchen, laundry and staff facilities.
The complex consist of a total of 15 Lifestyle Apartments, 17 Studio Apartments, and a 31 Bedroom Care Hospital.
Each Lifestyle apartment contains a fully functional Kitchen, Laundry and En suite while Studio apartments receiving Kitchenette, En suite and Laundrette.
The care hospital consists of 31 Bedrooms with individual en suites, as well as sluice rooms, shower rooms; communal lounge kitchenette’s and staff facilities
The hot water plant consists of 2 RayPak (LPG) boilers, located in a plant room, with hot water being reticulated throughout the Care Hospital, Kitchen and Laundry by means of circulating flow and return pipe work.
Hot water for each Lifestyle and Studio apartment comes from individual hot water cylinders located within the ceiling space of each Apartment.
Armitage Williams were the main contractors, and Powell Fenwick were the Hydraulic Consultants for the project.
